Leprosy Hospital inaugurated at Santhipuram by Dr R Cochrane

1967

 Leprosy Rehabilitation School and Centre were opened at Santhipuram

1968

 Christian Fellowship TB Hospital was born at Santhipuram

1969

Constructed Tuberculosis Ward at Santhipuram.

Tuberculosis control programme inaugurated at Santhipuram

1970

Starting of English Medium (Nursery) School in the verandah of Annapoorna Ginning Factory under the umbrella of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, which had later grown into Christian Matriculation Higher Secondary School

1971

Solving the problem of water by building the Check Dam and digging the main well divined by AFRP from New Delhi inside the Check Dam.

1972

Starting of Community Health Guide (CHG) course for the first time in India.

1973

Registration of Christian Fellowship Community Centre Society

1974

Registration of Christian Education Health and Development Society and Shanthinikethan High School was opened, which has grown into the Shanthinikethan Higher Secondary School with Hostels.

Constructed CFCH Centre Chapel Building at CFCH, Santhipuram, Ambilikkai.

New Leprosy Ward was opened at CFCH Centre, Santhipuram, Ambilikkai

1975

Opening of KNH Home as Immanuel Home for poor children

1976

Christian Health and Development Project was inaugurated with Training of 80 local Community Health Guides with help of EZE, West Germany

1977

Starting 35 Balwadies in our Community Health Project Area.

Opening of Christian Cancer Centre at Santhipuram, Ambilikkai.

1978

Recognition of Multi Purpose Health Workers (MPHW) course by the Tamil Nadu State Government

1979

Christian Education Health and Development Training and Research Institute was opened and 4 PG Courses and one Certificate course were affiliated to MK University, Madurai.

Maternity Ward was opened at CFCH Centre, Amblikkai.

1980

Six staff quarters completed with help of ICCO, Holland and 24 Mini Health Centres were opened in the Project area under State Government’s Mini Health Centre Schemes

1983

Mercy Home for Leprosy invalids and blind was opened at Santhipuram, Amblikkai

1984

Christian Institute for Technical Education (Polytechnic) was opened at Santhipuram

1985

Riggs ward was constructed and opened at Santhipuram

1986

Christian College of Nursing was opened at Santhipuram

1987

Polytechnic Hostel was constructed and put into use at Santhipuram

1988

New Cobalt Unit Theratron 80R was commissioned by Hon KR Narayanan – Central Minister for Science and Technology

1989

World Vision Hostel, named Rev Jacobs Home was opened and Wilson ward was also inaugurated in the presence of Dr JN Wilson and Mrs Barbara Wilson

1990

Completion of KNH Girls Hostel at Ambilikkai

1991

Chapel constructed near Leprosy Ward Campus

1992

 Started Christian Industrial Training Institute.

Eye Ward opened at CFCH Centre, Ambilikkai.

1994

Special ward in New Surgical Block opened by Hon KV Thangabalu, Minister of State Social Welfare, Govt of India

1995

New OPD Block opened by Vice-President Hon KR Narayanan

1997

Started Rev Jacob Memorial Christian Arts and Science College with Hostel.

Dialysis Unit started in the CFHC Centre, Ambilikkai.

1999

Started WHO Project for Screening and Control of Uterine Cervical Centre in Dindigul District in collaboration with International agency for Cancer Research.

Dr Jacob Cherian was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1999

2000

Opened the Christian College of Engineering and Technology with Hostel at Oddanchatram.

2001

New Office Block of Rev Jacob Memorial Christian Arts and Science College in Ambilikkai

2002

Leprosy Rehabilitation Illam and New Doctors Quarters opened at CFCH Centre Ambilikkai

2004

Constructed the Chapel for Rev Jacon Memorial Christian Arts and Science College in Ambilikkai

2007

Dr Jacob Cherians Auditorium was inaugurated by our well-wisher Mr K Gnanakrishnan at Christian Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Oddanchatram.

NAAC(National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation of Rev Jacob Memorial Christian Arts and Science College in Ambilikkai.

2008

CFCH Centre Administrative Block was opened at Ambilikkai

2010

Christian Polytechnic College celebrated Silver Jubilee at Oddanchatram

2012

Christian College of Nursing celebrated Silver Jubilee.

National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt of India, has declared Christian College of Nursing as Minority Educational Institution.

2013

Dr Jacob Cherian’s Memorial Block was constructed in the Christian College of Engineering and Technology at Oddanchatram.

Sport Centre inaugurated by Olympian Mrs Shiny Wilson in the Christian College of Engineering and Technology at Oddanchatram.

CFCH Centre New Staff Quarters inaugurated at Ambilikkai.

2014

Hospital name was changed from CFCH Centre to “Christian Hospital, Ambilikkai”

Industrial Relationship Office was inaugurated in the Christian Polytechnic College, Oddanchatram.

Inaugurated Administrative Block for Christian Education Health and Development Society by Mr J Samson, Divisional Engineer, Southern Railway at Oddanchatram
